A great home theatre is not about throwing the most expensive gear at a room. It is about putting the right gear in the right places, calibrating it for the actual space, and making the cables disappear so you see the screen and hear the sound, not the install. Cheap-looking installs are usually cheap because the installer skipped the bit you cannot see - in-wall HDMI runs, properly braced TV mounts, surround speakers wired through ceiling or wall cavities, and acoustic positioning. We do the bit you cannot see properly.

The most common mistake we see on Sunshine Coast home theatre installs is exposed cabling. The TV is on the wall, but a fat HDMI cable hangs down to the AV cabinet. Power cord visible. Speaker wires running along skirtings. The fix is in-wall HDMI and speaker cable, properly run during install with the right rated cable for the cavity. Done once, looks finished forever.

How much does home theatre installation cost on the Sunshine Coast?
Standard TV wall mount with cable concealment runs $220 to $380. A full 5.1 surround sound install with in-ceiling speakers runs $1,200 to $2,800. Premium 7.2.4 Atmos builds with projector, motorised screen, and full calibration run $4,000 to $9,000+. Every job gets a full upfront quote.
Can you mount my TV on a brick or concrete wall?
Yes - brick, double brick, and concrete walls are very common in Sunshine Coast homes. We use rated masonry anchors sized for the TV weight. Often a stronger fix than plasterboard because we are anchoring directly into solid material.
Do I need an electrician or AV installer for TV mounting?
Both, depending on the job. A simple wall mount is AV work. Adding a power point behind the TV, running cable through the wall, or installing surge protection is licensed electrical work. We do both under the one team and one licence (QLD 1510557).
Can you hide the cables behind my TV?
Yes - in-wall cable concealment is one of our most-requested options. We run HDMI and power inside the wall cavity from the TV bracket down to the AV cabinet position. Looks completely clean from the front, no visible cords.
Should I get in-ceiling, in-wall, or standalone speakers?
In-ceiling speakers disappear into the architecture and are ideal for surround and Atmos height channels. In-wall speakers are great for primary front speakers in finished rooms. Standalone (bookshelf or floor-standing) usually delivers the best raw sound but breaks the visual line. We can model both options for your room.
How do I get Dolby Atmos in my media room?
Atmos needs height channels - either ceiling-mounted speakers or upward-firing modules. We typically install 4 in-ceiling speakers (7.2.4 setup) or use Atmos-enabled tower speakers with reflective ceilings. Includes AVR setup and Audyssey calibration to lock in the immersion.
Can you install an outdoor TV for my alfresco area?
Yes - we install weatherproof outdoor TVs (Samsung Terrace, SunBriteTV, Furrion) with rated brackets, weather-sealed cabling, and shaded mounting positions to manage glare and sun. Often paired with outdoor speakers and weatherproof power.
Do you do calibration after install?
Yes - calibration is part of every home theatre install. We use measurement-based tools (REW, Audyssey, Dirac) to set EQ, speaker distance, sub crossover, and channel level. Without calibration the system will sound okay; with calibration it sounds great.
How long does home theatre installation take?
A simple TV mount is 1 to 2 hours. A 5.1 surround install in an existing room runs 4 to 6 hours. Full Atmos with projector and in-ceiling speakers is typically a 1 to 2 day job. Calibration adds 1 to 2 hours at the end. We give you a confirmed time window with every quote.
Can I supply my own gear and just have you install it?
Yes - we are happy to install gear you have purchased online or from a retailer. We can also supply quality components from trusted brands as part of the install. If you supply, manufacturer warranties cover the gear; our workmanship warranty covers the install.
